A short drive from the Las Vegas Strip is the Resort at Mt Charleston. During winter is a snowy glistening winter wonderland and provided the perfect backdrop to this families 40's inspired portraits. This fun family has been in front of my camera three times now and I look forward to each and every time. They always have the coolest ideas. This year's idea was inspired by a 1947 photo of artic explorer Peter Freuchen and his wife, captured by the extremely talented Irving Penn. By the way....Mt Charleston is very very busy the first weekend it snows. I am surprised I found a place to park. Just a peice of advice :)
