Where to begin...
I had this idea last year ( I am really bad about executing ideas right away...I let them sit a long time) to create a Tim Burton Beetlejuice inspired styled wedding. I reached out to my freind, Jamie of Jamie Y Photography to collaborate. Jamie's moody style seemed absolutely perfect for my idea and she was thrilled to be on board. We hit the ground running once we decided on a date and reached out to some amazing local vendors. When wedding industry pros get together and are allowed to be creative just for fun, incredible things happen.
We wanted to come up with something out of the ordinary and with Halloween coming up, we found the perfect oppurtunity to let this idea come to life.
The shoot was held at Mansion 54 in downtown Las Vegas. This venue is rich in history. Originally the Hartland Mansion built in the 1940's Epic Venues remodeled this truly epic venue space into Mansion 54. It has a "gone with the wind" inspired staircase. Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Michael Jackson, Ginger Rogers and Tony Bennet have graced this mansion with their presence over the decades. Even the movie "Casino" was filmed here. So much history! It is an incredible venue space that should definitely be on your list of Vegas venues.
Bleu Moon Bakery delighted us with her spooky wedding cake topped with creepy crawlies, eyeballs, glitter and gorgeous blooms. Caramel popcorn adorned by black icing, more glitter (I LOVE GLITTER), and spiders were set around the cake. Shayanne is a Las Vegas Vegan Baker and is one of the sweetest souls you'll ever meet. Shayanne was also our officiant for the shoot.
Alexander Wong Florals and Events created out of this world floral magic for us. We gave her a color palette of black, deep reds and purples, oranges and gold and she KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! Just wait until you see how amazing and beautiful everything she created is. Truly magical.
The furniture and all the lovely gold table decorations from Dogwood Party Rentals fit the dark theme so perfectly.
The lovely Zelda Fairfax was our bride and she had the PERFECT dress already. Makeup in the 702 dolled her up in some bold glam makeup and some fun hair. It was absolute perfection. It's as if they saw my vision in my head. Joe, who is engaged to our baker, graciously volunteered to be our groom.
There was signature His and Hers cocktails, a sweetheart table with incredible details, the most amazing alter made from a horse skeleton and lots of skulls decorated with tons of flowers. It was amazing!
Enjoy some of my favorites from the day.
