Las Vegas, Nevada is home to some of the most amazingly talented and unique wedding vendors around and I want to take this opportunity to share with you some of my favorites! I interviewed several of my absolute favorite small business owners (who I have had the pleasure of working with) to get to know their passions and business just a little bit better. I want to help you gain some insight into the valley's most sensational and unique wedding vendors that you may end up choosing for your special day. Perhaps I can help alleviate some of the stress of wedding planning with these Vegas wedding vendor spotlights.
If you follow me on social media, you know that it's no secret that I collaborate with Cactus Collective Weddings a lot. What I love about working with Cactus Collective is how well the team works together to make couples dreams come true. The team always has the couple's best interest at heart and we are a well oiled machine when it comes to desert elopements, not to mention we really love and enjoy what we do.
Mckenzi Taylor is the CEO, owner and wedding photographer for Cactus Collective Weddings and I am so honored to work for such a wonderful company. I first met Mckenzi through the Rising Tide Society -Tuesday's Together Vegas chapter, where creatives come together to learn and grow. I believe that The Rising Tide Society groups have immensely changed my life for the better and given me the tools to succeed. If you are a creative, definitely click on the link up above.
I absolutely love capturing sweet wedding ceremonies of couples in love for Cactus Collective and working with the best officiants, florists, wedding planners and musicians in Las Vegas. They truly do provide a breathtakingly gorgeous and stress free destination wedding. I am super excited that I get to be a part of it. Cactus Collective couples are charming, sweet and always a lot of fun.
On top of all that remarkable stuff I mentioned, I get to call Mckenzi a friend. She is one of the most genuinely good-hearted people I have ever met. She is always there to help me when I ask for it and offer guidance when I need it. I have learned SO MUCH from her. I feel lucky that I get to navigate the wedding industry world with such an amazing person.
Can you tell me a little bit about Cactus Collective and what you have to offer?
We are an intimate desert wedding company that helps couples plan weddings. We include the permitting for land use, photography, minister and florals. We also have options for add ons, like a mini reception.
What made you decide to open your business? I'd love to know the story
behind your name!
I opened this business because I personally eloped. As a photographer, I knew there was a need and a market for this type of service so I did the research and Cactus Collective was born. I wanted the name to sound like the desert but also sound like a team. We are all a team and want to make a couple's wedding the best it can be!
What sets you apart from all the others?
We are straightforward and transparent about our services and pricing. We are all locals and we are all very familiar with the landscape and city of Vegas. Finally, the thing that sets us apart most is the fact that I started this business because I felt there weren't any other companies offering high-quality photography. Our photographers are all professionals, have been trained and have clients' best interests at heart. So, above all, we are a photography-based company and no other company in Las Vegas is.
What do you love about running a business?
I love the challenge and the freedom of running a business. While everyone I know always asks me "are you always working?" I wouldn't have it any other way. I love that we are able to provide couple's with a truly unique experience that doesn't break the bank as well.
If there is one thing you could tell your future clients (a tip or advice or
something you want them to know), what would it be?
Plan a wedding that YOU want to plan. Avoid getting sucked into the hustle and bustle of spending a downpayment on a wedding (unless that's truly what you want). Weddings are meant to be about you and yours and if you ever start to feel it's not, evaluate why and make decisions from there. Desert weddings can be glamourous of they can be private and intimate. The option is yours!
